The Colorado Bar Association Young Lawyer’s Division Executive Committee is looking for presenters for their all-day, in-person “Nuts & Bolts” event on May 7, 2026. This is a great low-stakes opportunity for newer presenters to get experience and exposure. Presenters may be eligible for additional CLE credits.
The goal of their “Nuts & Bolts” program is to provide practical, nuts-and-bolts guidance for younger attorneys. This year’s event is focused on pre-trial.
Past topics have included:
- Drafting and responding to complaints
- Discovery (civil and domestic)
- Depositions
- Drafting and defending summary judgment motions
- Effective use of expert witnesses
- Jury instructions
- A “view from the bench” on pre-trial practice
